Oil & Gas Survey, As-Built
EP Energy – Big Lake, TX
EP Energy operates an oil and gas drilling program on 50,000 acres of University Land a few miles Southeast of Big Lake, Texas. FXSA performed an as-built survey of approximately 5 miles of Phase 1, Segment 1 gathering system and the preparation of an alignment sheet set for each pipeline. This segment consisted of a pipeline corridor containing 5 pipelines, gathering, gas sales, buy back, re-use and salt water disposal lines gathered from 13 horizontal wells. FXSA also performed an as-built survey and prepared alignment sheets of an additional 7.5 miles of salt water disposal line. As the drilling program progressed FXSA was asked to prepare and stake 2.5 miles of a 5 pipeline gathering system for Phase 2, Segment 1. FXSA crews and staff performed base mapping of the area by locating lease roads, easement limits and 25 horizontal wells needed to design the alignments of the gathering system pipelines. Once the mapping was complete, FXSA Techs provided calculated alignments for crews to stake in the field and prepared alignment sheet sets for construction.
