Project consisted of designing a water distribution system to provide potable water to approximately 60 households at Schuman Estates in the Canutillo area. The water distribution system consisted of approximately 18,550 L.F. of 8-inch PVC waterlines, service lines, master meter, fire hydrants, tapping sleeves, saw cut and patch pavement, and traffic control. Scope of work included project management services, basic engineering services (preliminary and final design phases), bidding services, and construction management services. FXSA assisted in the preparation of the grant application with USDA/RD. We prepared the Environmental Report and Preliminary Engineering Report. Our Team coordinated with both, the El Paso Water Utilities and USDA/RD, in the preparation of the application. We conducted survey for design for the water line corridor through County R.O.W., TxDOT R.O.W., and private properties and conducted boundary surveys for ROW acquisition, easement acquisition, and coordinated closely with the EPCWID#1 to conduct survey in accordance with their standards. FXSA also prepared R.O.W. plans for the water line alignment to satisfy USDA/RD requirements. Our team was responsible for registering the new water system extension with TCEQ.
